Publication Ethics
To maintain the quality of manuscripts and prevent plagiarism during the publication process, the editorial board of ERA: Journal of Linguistics, Literature, Culture and History establishes the following ethical guidelines. These ethics apply to authors, editors, reviewers, and journal managers.
Author Ethics

Reporting
Authors must present research processes and results fairly, clearly, and comprehensively, and are responsible for keeping their research data securely. -
Originality and Plagiarism
Manuscripts must be original, written by the authors themselves, and not contain others’ ideas or work without proper citation. Plagiarism or improper referencing is strictly prohibited. -
Resubmission
Authors must confirm that the submitted manuscript has not been previously submitted or published elsewhere. If resubmission is found, the editorial board reserves the right to reject the manuscript. -
Author Status
Authors must possess expertise relevant to the subject of the manuscript. The submitting author must act as the corresponding author, responsible for communication during the publication process. -
Errors in the Manuscript
Authors must promptly notify the editor of any significant errors found in their submitted manuscript, such as incorrect names, affiliations, citations, or content that affects the clarity or accuracy. Authors are required to submit revisions as needed. -
Disclosure and Conflict of Interest
Authors must fully understand and comply with the publication ethics to avoid any conflict of interest that may disrupt the publication process.

Editors must select appropriate reviewers, provide them with clear review instructions, and ensure confidentiality and ethical compliance in the review process. -
Objectivity and Neutrality
Editors must act objectively and fairly without discrimination based on gender, race, religion, nationality, or any commercial interest. -
Confidentiality
Editors must maintain the confidentiality of authors’ information and unpublished manuscript content. -

Editors must avoid situations of conflict of interest and ensure impartiality throughout the editorial process.
Reviewer Ethics

Reviewers must evaluate manuscripts fairly, professionally, and without bias, regardless of the author's background or identity. -
Reference Accuracy
Reviewers must ensure cited sources are valid and credible. Any inaccuracies or misuse of citations must be reported to the editor for correction. -
Timeliness
Reviewers must adhere to the set review timeframe (maximum 2 weeks). If an extension is needed, timely communication with the editorial board is required. -

Reviewers must avoid conflicts of interest and maintain the confidentiality of the manuscript throughout the review process.

Managers must protect the journal's intellectual property, maintain transparency in financial matters, and promote published content responsibly and ethically. -
