Articles submitted to Judge: Journal of Law and Justice must be in the form of scientific papers such as research results, judicial decisions, theoretical studies, literature reviews, or conceptual and critical consultations. Submissions must be objective, systematic, analytical, and descriptive.

Among the broad range of legal topics, Judge: Journal of Law and Justice pays particular attention to articles focused on:

  • Sociology of Law

  • Living Law

  • Legal Philosophy

  • History of National Law

  • Customary Law

  • Law and Literature

  • International Law

  • Interdisciplinary (Cross-sectional) Studies

  • Empirical Studies

In line with the transformation the journal has undergone, accepted articles are limited and selected based on juridical-normative perspectives, regulatory interpretations, and alignment with the journal’s current scope. Submitted articles must be original, research-based, unpublished, and not under review in other publications.

Article Length & Language

Articles must be written in standard English or Indonesian, with a length of 4,000–7,000 words, including the main text, tables, figures, notes, references, and appendices.

Article Structure

  1. Title

    • Concise, clear, and informative

    • Maximum of 14 words or 100 characters (excluding spaces)

    • Each word starts with a capital letter

    • May include a subtitle to define the scope

  2. Author’s Name and Affiliation

    • List all authors with their affiliations (institution, address, email, and phone)

    • Do not include academic or professional titles

  3. Abstract

    • Written in English and Indonesian

    • Maximum 200 words, in one paragraph

    • Includes: background, purpose, method, results, and implication

    • 3–5 keywords

    • No references cited in the abstract

  4. Main Text Structure

    • Fieldwork-based articles: Introduction, Literature Review, Methodology, Results & Discussion, Conclusion

    • Conceptual/library-based articles: Introduction, Discussion, Conclusion

  5. References

    • Preferably from the last 10 years

    • Use Mendeley for reference management

    • Follow APA Citation Style

    • All in-text citations must appear in the reference list
