IMPLEMENTASI GREEN ECONOMY PADA UNIT BISNISPESANTREN(STUDI KASUS CV. AIDRAT PONDOK PESANTREN SUNAN DRAJAT)

Abstract

The implementation of the Green Economy in pesantren-based business entities
is crucial to maintaining a balance between economic growth, social welfare,
and environmental sustainability. This study aims to analyze the operational
workflow of Bottled Drinking Water (AMDK) production at CV. Aidrat, Pondok
Pesantren Sunan Drajat, and to evaluate the implementation of Green Economy
principles and Islamic values within its business management. This research
employs a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected
through in-depth interviews with management, santri (students), and local
community members, as well as field observations and documentation. Data
analysis was conducted through data reduction, data display, and conclusion
drawing. The results show that CV. Aidrat integrates modern purification
technology (Reverse Osmosis, ultrafiltration, ozonation) with raw water
transmission through a 2-km underground pipeline to minimize carbon footprint.
Although the management lacks theoretical familiarity with the term "Green
Economy," its operational practices embody three main indicators: (1) Economic
Well-being, through production efficiency and profit allocation to support the
pesantren's financial independence; (2) Social Equality, through local and santri
labor absorption and free water distribution programs; and (3) Environmental
Preservation, through the re-use of RO waste water for sanitation (zero-waste
principle). These eco-friendly practices are driven by Environmental
Jurisprudence (Fiqh al-Bi'ah) and the social philosophy of Sunan Drajat. This
study concludes that pesantren business units have strong potential to lead
sustainable development anchored in local and religious values.
